Feeling Stuck

In my podcast, I have talked about feeling stuck, and it’s been one of my most downloaded episodes yet! There seems to be a lot of people out there who feel stuck and don’t know what to do about it. Whether it’s in your job, as a parent, as a spouse, as a child… You may be feeling stuck financially, socially, emotionally, physically, mentally, and so on… Whatever it is, you are currently feeling stuck, and you have absolutely no idea what to do about it.

Dream Crushers

Have you ever had a dream or a desire to do something and only to have that dream squashed by the people around you? I remember telling someone when I was a little girl that I really wanted to model clothing, and I remember that dream instantly being completely and eternally crushed – to the point that I never mentioned it again…until now.

Say No In Order to Say Yes

Saying no in order to say yes may seem like an oxymoron; however, it is anything but. Saying no in order to say yes is something that can become very beneficial to us once we learn exactly what it means and the opportunity cost it entails.

Permission to Love Your Job

“Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” —Confucius

Confucius was a Chinese teacher whose philosophies became known as Confucianism. Confucius’ philosophies still influence others today and have proven to be great among Chinese culture. Throughout his time, Confucius submitted words of wisdom and promoted kindness and truth among his followers.

Narcissistic Abuse: Power and Manipulation

Narcissistic abuse can be obvious, or it can be extremely subtle. Those who tend to subtly abuse someone because of their desire to feel power and control can be considered to be narcissistic. The narcissist will target those who display traits that they believe to be superior to their own. Narcissists get great satisfaction in putting down anyone who seems to have more or accomplish more. They will target those who have more positive or marketable traits than he, himself, has. This allows him to feel good about himself and in a place of superiority over his victim and others.

Narcissists Lack Compassion

“In separateness lies the world’s great misery, in compassion lies the world’s true strength.” -Buddha

In my article, “Enough about me…Common Traits of Narcissism”, I mentioned that narcissists lack compassion or empathy and cannot recognize the needs of others. When you are hurting, a narcissist may tell you to just shake it off. They are also known for suddenly disappearing whenever someone is emotionally or physically hurt; however, they will always expect others to be there for them when they are in need and tend to lash out at anyone who isn’t. When something bad happens to someone, Narcissists tend to say things like, “That person deserved what happened to them,” and when something good happens, they will usually say, “That person didn’t deserve that.” This is usually said out of deep jealousy, even though a narcissist will demand that they are not jealous of anyone.

Jezebel: Spirit of a Narcissist

Jezebel’s infamous story is introduced and documented in the Bible in both 1 and 2 Kings. She was married to Ahab, King of Israel and through a series of events, became to be considered an evil and seductive queen. At first, the true Jezebel and her schemes were hidden, but after becoming Ahab’s wife, she began to introduce the level her evil influence upon her husband and ultimately Samaria. This is when Jezebel began to usurp her husband’s authority as Israel’s King.

27 Common Traits of Narcissism

Narcissistic Personality Disorder is documented to affect only about 6% of the population. However, I would say that the actual percentage is really much higher. In order to have a narcissist diagnosed with NPD, you have to first convince them that something is actually wrong with them. This is near impossible, as narcissists tend to believe that the problems lie with everyone else. Once you realize what narcissism is, I think that you will agree that there are more people who acquire this disorder than actually documented.

The Start of Our Homeschooling Journey

If you’re suddenly feeling the need to homeschool, and you have no desire to, but something inside of you wishes you didn’t feel that way, you’re not alone. Before I’d ever become pregnant with my first son, I had friends who were moms in the homeschooling community. Although I loved my friends in all their brilliance, I had not given much thought to homeschooling. In all actuality, I had not given ANY thought to homeschooling. The fact that my friends were homeschooling their children was great for them, but it just wasn’t for me. At the time, teaching just wasn’t my calling. In fact, I hated teaching, so homeschooling, for us, was probably the farthest thing from my radar. Little did I know that God had other plans. I can just hear Him giggling now.
